Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to rent a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that, if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.

Travel Restrictions

Trevel to islands (ferry) - 30 € per rental

Vehicles may not travel on ferries and/or to Island locations without pre-approval from Active. If approved, a ferry insurance fee of EUR 30 will apply. Applies for all rentals and all countries

Cross Border driving restrictions - 70 € per rental

Applies for all rentals and all countries

Travel is permitted into the following countries: Slovenia, Italy, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia & Hercegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo. All countries of travel must be noted at time of booking.

Taxes and charges

One-way rental fee

For drop-off at a different location, a one way fee can be charged. This fee is included in the overall price and is payable at the counter. If there is no payable at the counter fee, the one way is free.

Roadside assistance

Breakdown assistance is included with this car. In case of emergency during business hours, call the number provided by your car rental supplier and they will send help. Assistance outside of business hours may incur an extra charge. Please note that this only covers mechanical failure.

Road tax

A fee for picking up the car outside of the regular office opening hours. Included in the price of your rental but payable at the rental counter

Unlimited mileage

Unlimited mileage with this rental means you can drive as much as you want, with no additional charges for extra kilometers.

Collision damage waiver (CDW)

Often referred to as CDW, this partially covers damages incurred to your vehicle. Please note that you will still be liable for insurance excess (see: Not Included section below). CDW does not cover damage or loss of keys, tyres, glass or undercarriage.

Theft waiver (TW)

This covers costs relating to the theft or attempted theft of the rental vehicle but does not cover the loss of personal possessions. Please note that you will still be liable for insurance excess (see below).
